Marriage

On 3.Jul.1886, Sarah married Jean-Baptiste “John” Cadore. The marriage took place in Iroquois County, IL. Sarah was 16 years old at the time and it seems the marriage ended in divorce, probably in 1888.

Death

As of 2024, the year and date of Sarah's death is unknown. An obituary of her sister, Clara Belle (Marshall) Lindsey, cites one living sister, Mrs. Frank Eastburn (i.e. Harriet Louise). This suggests that Sarah died sometime before 1912. (The obituary mentions surviving family members only.)

Children

During her brief marriage, Sarah may have given birth to a child, Belle Cadore, born in Jun.1 887 and died Dec. 1887. 2)

1) This is based on the 1870 census data for the household of Sarah's father John Benjamin Marshall. The census record shows Sarah's age as less than one year and her birth month as October.
2) Several family trees include Belle Cadore as a child of John Cadore. These include no supporting documents and show John's second wife, Sarah Evertt, as Belle's mother. However, if John Cadore had a daughter Belle born in 1877 – during his marriage to Sarah Mitty Marshall and before his marriage to Sarah Evertt – it seems more likely that Sarah Mitty was the mother.
