Daniel Throckmorton is descended from original immigrant John Throckmorton who came to Massachusetts Colony c.1636. John Throckmorton is descended from an English aristocratic family that can trace its origins to pre-Norman times, and John's ancestry includes king Edward I and his ancestors (e.g. William the Conquerer), as well as William Marshal. A lot has been written about the Throckmorton families, including those of southern Ohio.
